The shell of a common garden snail is all curves. Curves of different radii and centers all smoothly blending together. It really is beautiful.
This is my third snail shell and my best so far. It has received a very good reaction from people who have handled it. The curves are pleasant to hold.
This was my first experience sculpting wood. I borrowed a method from my brother Howard and most of the "carving" was done with an angle grinder.
