Title: Shell Plater Number 1

I wanted to have control over pattern in a glaze. I decided to try a glaze inlay. I carved a pattern into the raw glazed surface and painted in an alternate glaze. This is how it turned out after firing. I was quite pleased, even with how these two glazes mixed in the firing.
The one thing I wasn't pleased about with this plate was that there is a crack between the rim and the base. It is non functional, and not really touchable, but it really is pretty. It sits on a shelf in my work space, at least until I replicate it.
I made test tiles to look at inlays of other glaze combinations. I am pleased with those results and have had some luck with improving my glaze inlay technique.
