This bowl reminds me how important it is to really mean it.
I cut through the bottom of this bowl while trimming it. I could have tossed it, but I decided to repair it by adding a face on the bottom. I had in mind a low relief face with a smiling mouth.
Fortunately I decided against that. I decided to put in the frustration of cutting through the bottom of the bowl. I sat down with a mirror and went to work. It went really fast. My wife even recognized that it was me. (I don't think I scream much.)
There are a few technical problems. There is some cracking around the join. (The bowl was probably too dry to do this with.) The glaze was a surprise, it was supposed to be clear, not greenish. I still like it.
